Media Officer 


Location:                      Warrington      

Responsible to:           General Manager                    

Hours per Week:         25        

Annual Salary:             £15,000

Contract:                     12 months



 The Media Officer will take the primary role for lighting, filming and post-production editing of all film content. They will be responsible for design and production of all graphical material and maintaining all social media platforms.



  • Support the BSL Ambassador to promote and raise the profile of Signing Solutions CIC to the wider community and local service providers

  • Build and manage the organisation’s social media profile and presence

  • Collaborate in the writing and quality assurance of British Sign Language (BSL) videos

  • Carry out filming of BSL videos

  • Responsible for all aspects of video post-production and graphical design

  • Undertake appropriate training and learning for professional development 

  • Act within Signing Solution CIC’s policies and procedures 

  • Undertake any other duties within the scope of the role as directed by line manager.



  • Proficient in English, minimum Grade C GCSE 

  • Creative & digital media, film production, or equivalent qualification 


       Experience / Knowledge  

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • Working knowledge of social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram 

  • Working knowledge of adobe creative suite 

  • Knowledge of British Sign Language desirable but not essential 

    Skills /Abilities 

  • Ability to manage social media platforms

  • Proven experience with film and postproduction

  • Ability to collate information and write reports

    Other Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally work evenings or weekends
